Hit It & Quit It

You got those high-heeled shoes, but your legs were born to run
Girl, you look like you might be some kind of fun
You're not flirtatious, you're salacious, and there's nothing about you looks prone
You've got an inch of blouse for every minute you're planning to keep it on
She don't care, she's got no need to feel ashamed
Hell, you'll never even know her name
So you scoop me up and take me home
I give it two or three hours 'til we both end up alone
But in the meantime, unwind, girl, I'm gonna drink you in
And if you play your cards right, I might do it all over again
She don't care, she's got no need to feel ashamed
Hell, you'll never even know her name
She's not sorry she knows what she wants and how to get it
She knows we all call her Hit It & Quit It
She don't care, she's got no need to feel ashamed
Hell, you'll never even know her name
She's not sorry she knows what she wants and how to get it
She knows we all call her Hit It & Quit It
She's not sorry she knows what she wants and how to get it
She knows we all call her Hit It & Quit It

You Knew What This Was

She's a saint
She's an optimist
She's the bait
She knows what this is
You're lonely tonight
But I ain't your Mister Right
Gimme just a moment of your time
Gimme just a moment just because
I wanna feel close to someone, but not for all that long—don't get me wrong
I'm sorry, but you knew what this was
She's disappointed
She had her goal in sight
She'll get over it
But probably not tonight
You knew our time was borrowed
You can feel disappointed tomorrow
Gimme just a moment of your time
Gimme just a moment just because
I wanna feel close to someone, but not for all that long—don't get me wrong
I'm sorry, but you knew what this was
Gimme just a moment of your time
Gimme just a moment just because
I wanna feel close to someone, but not for all that long—don't get me wrong
I'm sorry, but you knew what this was

All Outta Options

I want your body
But I need your love
I need to get close to you
I'd rather rise above
I want / I need to be the only man
You're ever thinking of
I want your body
I probably need your love
Will I stay, will I go, who's a'counting?
Will I humble myself hoping things work out?
Is it villainy to be a little skeptical like me?
I'd be crazy if I didn't have my doubts
It's such a long way down
I know directions by heart
So take it, leave it's just a reason
To tear our worlds apart
You think I'm not committed
You think I'll split like guys do
I think you'll spend all my money
Then I'll be too poor for you
Will I stay, will I go, who's a'counting?
Will I humble myself hoping things work out?
Is it villainy to be a little skeptical like me?
I'd be crazy if I didn't have my doubts
I want your sex
But I could use a friend
Maybe it's too much thought when we both know
Tonight could be the end
Maybe I'm all outta options
Maybe I just like to play pretend
Maybe it's for the best if we never see
Each other ever again
Will I stay, will I go, who's a'counting?
Will I humble myself hoping things work out?
Is it villainy to be a little skeptical like me?
I'd be crazy if I didn't have my doubts
Will I try, will I fail, will I keep trying?
Is that really what any of it's about?
What the hell do I care? It's all action, so I'm there
I'm just worried that there's gonna come a drought
Maybe that's what everybody's figured out
I'd have to be crazy if I didn't have my doubts

Awkward

Woke up this morning with an ax in my brow
It was a painful reminder I'd forgotten 'til just now
But there she is—damn!—what the hell did I do?
Been there once or twice before, but how I got here, I don't have a clue
It's a unique thing in the early morning light
But I'm meandering back that same way tonight
I'm not the kind of guy
Who regularly learns his lesson
"Last night was fun," she said; "Mm-hmm, okay, whatever you say"
"Do this again sometime?" "That's fine, just one thing— What's your name?"
It's awkward, but it was probably fun
Wish I could remember 'cause now all I know's the damage has been done
It's a unique thing, but it happens all the time
And, no, I'm not bragging, but at least I won't go blind
I can't stop it, oh I've tried
But it's fairly well become an obsession
Offered me breakfast, but I can't; "I really have to go"
"Maybe just coffee" "Wish I could, but still the answer's no"
She's talking; I'm speeding her towards the end
"I've got an early meeting" "How 'bout one more throw?" And here we go again
It's a unique thing; there's nothing else compares to it
It's got me wondering if maybe I'm just sick
It's a good thing I'm not Catholic
Or I'd have about a month of confession
It's a unique, but it happens all the time
And, no, I'm not bragging, but at least I won't go blind
I'm not the kind of guy
Who regularly learns his lesson

I'm sitting here about a quarter to three
There's nobody in the place except for you and me
And I'm leaving in a minute, but I'm only just beginning
Now
And I won't let you down
Mamma didn't raise no hound
So come on, take my hand—take me however you want
I'll be a gentleman, but then again tomorrow I'm gone
And you can play the virgin maiden, but I notice you keep hanging
Around
And I won't let you down
I'm a prince; can't you see my crown?
Whatever happens tonight stays between you and me
It's no concession, just the way that I was brought up to be
So I might divide and conquer, but I'll leave you feeling properly
Found
And I won't let you down
Around here, your name won't be renowned
No, I won't let you down
Mamma didn't raise no hound
